Worked with Huckle & Prtnrs Architects, London; through IAESTE student exchange programme.

1969

Assistant architect in Dimitri Antonakakis architect's practice.

1970

Assistant architect in Thymio Papayiannis architect's practice.

1970 / 71

Started own practice. Projects: Hotel in Peloponese; private houses; Office building in Athens.

Project architect in Kostas Makris' practice.

1971 / 72

Military service; during this time, working for the Army: supervised the construction of Kastoria airfield runway; landscape studies; traditional buildings' refurbishment; Youth Centre in Kastoria.

1972

Project architect in Kostas Makris' practice.

1972 / 73

Supervised reconstruction and refurbishment works in Santa Katarina Monastery in Sinai.

1976 / 84

Own practice. Projects: Blocks of flats, private houses, hotels, play-grounds, parks. Participated in architectural competitions.

1980 / 84

Worked in the Ministry of Housing, Planning and the Environment. During this period: designed playgrounds and parks; supervised works designed for the Ministry by private practices; wrote specifications for architectural competitions; co-author of the report for the policies on the large open spaces of Athens; master plan for Lycabettus hill in Athens.

Head of team for Development Planning in the region of Thessaly; head of team on Tourism & Recreation in Greece; head of team for tourism policies for the 1983-88 Greece's five-year development plan; designed and supervised the preparation of maps of Greece on national, regional and county level; member of the team for laying the outlines for regional plans and the methodology for establishing guidelines for regional development; initiated research programmes on tourism development, environmental value-assessment et.al.

1984

Resigned from the ministry to focus on own practice; designed houses, blocks of flats, hotels, office blocks, playgrounds, public open spaces; entered architectural competitions; Architect's Association representative as a juror in architectural competitions.

1989

Left Greece. Worked with the London based architectural practice of Clive Crawford & Prtnrs; member of the design team for the Bradford West End project, for the development of Bradford city centre; designed the Eastern and Yorkshire Pavilions, with high street and speciality retail - also an electronic zoo, a bazaar, tropical gardens, food courts and housing; designed the Aldenmanbury Offices, an 130,000 sq.ft building.

1990

Moved to Ireland, where he worked with Murray Ó Laoire architects. Associate Director of MOLA since 1997. As project architect designed housing schemes, a Conference Centre as an extension to Dromoland Castle, office buildings, a Heritage and Cultural Centre for Tipperary, the Psychiatric Unit for Mid-Western Regional Hospital, the National Rehabilitation Board's regional offices in Limerick, ESAT Digifone's Customer Care facility and Switch facility in Limerick, a water ski-centre, office developments in Moscow, Industrial Units and factories, Banks, office fit-outs, mixed-use buildings et.al. Wrote the minimum design standards for Arts venues in Ireland for the Arts Council. Reported to the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands on the suitability of submitted design proposals for Art venues in Ireland.

1999

Started own practice on architectural and interior design. Completed a masterplan for the development of a 700-acre site for a potential population of c.4000 in Mungret, Limerick (with MOLA). Designed office and retail buildings, Ballikilty 5* hotel and lodges, a 240-student accom-modation development in Shannon, large scale mixed-use developments in Kilrush, and private houses.
